What to Expect

Diagnostic skin sampling including punch, shave, and excisional biopsies to evaluate suspicious moles, rashes, and skin lesions. Results typically available within 7-10 days.

Diagnostic Care

Keep the dressing dry for 24 hours, then clean gently with soap and water, apply petroleum ointment, and re-cover daily until healed. Call us for redness, fever, or persistent bleeding.

Will it hurt? You’ll feel a quick pinch from the numbing medicine; the procedure itself should be comfortable.

Will there be a scar? Small scars are possible; we’ll choose the technique that balances diagnosis and appearance.
